Getting Started

CodeSpeedTest measures how fast and accurately you type real code — not English sentences. Here's how to begin:

Choose a language — use the language selector at the top, or go directly to Languages.
Start typing — the timer begins automatically on your first keystroke. No button needed.
Use Backspace to correct mistakes. Every error costs Net WPM, so accuracy matters.
Complete the snippet — results appear instantly when you finish. You'll see WPM, Net WPM, accuracy, and a per-key heatmap.
Sign up (optional) — create a free account to save results, track progress, and earn certificates.

Tip: Your first session will feel slow — this is normal. The heatmap shows exactly which keys slow you down. Focus your practice there.
